Appalachian Consort

Appalachian music from the heart of the Blue Ridge and the Smoky Mountains.

Appalachian Consort is a group of four accomplished musicians from Western North Carolina who are proficient in a diversity of styles and genres.

• Leonard Hollifield - guitar 

• Josie Moe - violin and vocals 

• Lee Metcalfe - double bass

Playing music with Appalachian Mountain roots, Appalachian Consort regularly performs at a variety of events and venues, including the Mountain Music Festival at Lake Junaluska, Shindig on the Green, and the Mountain Dance and Folk Festival. They play a vital role in preserving the rich heritage of music found in our coves and valleys, showcasing the beauty of the blend of cultures from which it has evolved.
